U.S. Government TDD/TTY Directory
1997 Edition

Legislation

The Administrator [GSA] shall... assemble, publish, and maintain a directory of TDD and other devices used by Federal agencies...

The Telecommunications Accessibility Enhancement Act of 1988 (Public Law 100-542).

TDD/TTY Directory Access

Hypertext.
A menu provides links to the branches and agencies of the U.S. Federal Government. Updates are made about once a quarter.
Instructions for Dial-up access.
Dial-up access provides the most up-to-date version of the Directory, with corrections made as they are received. Users can access the directory with a TDD/TTY device or with a computer and modem. Data transmissions are much slower than many users would expect, however, to accommodate TDD/TTY's that display one line of text at a time.
Ordering a Paper copy.
This most closely resembles a traditional directory of TDD/TTY Telephone listings, and is usually updated annually. The 1997 version, in a convenient, easy to read, 6" X 9" layout, can be ordered free of charge.
