Decisive Milestones Achieved

• EPUB 3 has been recommended as the most appropriate standard for electronic text books for everyone, by the expert committee ON e-Book, Department of electronics & IT, Ministry of Communications & IT.
• Major government departments and agencies like NCERT, National Institute of Open Schooling etc. have started making their books available in EPUB 3 format.
• DAISY India Library initiative yielded results in 2016, the online library was launched with new Hindi name, Sugamya Pustakalaya and was inaugurated by ministries of IT, HRD and Social Justice & empowerment.
