EPUB Accessibility Conformance & Discovery

The specification is the base for developing the infrastructure. It is built on Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 due to the following reasons:

• Potential combination of W3C & IDPF
• Implication: Most probably EPUB-next will be a W3C specification
• W3C already have WCAG for HTML, which can be expanded to digital publishing

Best approach: Align the baseline specifications with WCAG 2.0 and ensure its future evolution with e-publishing standards.
