Abstract:
Standing exercise is good for quadriplegia to maintain physical condition and psychological effect. This paper describes modification of a standing aid, which had already developed, focusing on practical use. The objective of the modification was to make quadriplegia available to do standing exercise in their home. The first modification was to electrically motorize raising/lowering mechanism. The second modification was about the motor and safety . The third modification was to add four castors for transferring care. Future development of this device was it for training for two and four patients in a facility and powered wheelchair that was available for standing transportation.
