Abstract
We developed software to support communication for people who have severe movement disability with hard to speak. This system uses GUI and people can enter sentences written in kanji and kana character by only pointing. It also classifies Japanese words and idioms to tree structure. Then they can choose words or phrases from the structure and display or speak through PC. A movement disabled person, evaluated the system using in daily life. He found that he could resist expressions in daily life systematically due to Japanese tree structure and choose delicate expressive differences in practical time. We will develop adapted soft-keyboard for practical communication and how to express sentences to PC by only operating pointing devices.
