Abstract
It is necessary to supply services that aged or disabled people will be able to carry on a comfortable life toward aging society. In this study, senile human auditory system was simulated with a digital hearing aid. We measured speech intelligibility for subjects at the age of fifties with normal hearing under the condition of nude and through the simulator. The results of the speech intelligibility test through the simulator look like that of 70's. From these comparisons, we found that this simulation method was good for a person with normal hearing to experience a hearing condition under a senile auditory system.
