Abstract
We developed a trial input/output information terminal as a general-purpose terminal with barrier-free concept. This terminal was made for the handicapped in hearing, visually handicapped people, and normal people. The terminal aimed to make environment that people can operate machines in one machine. Basic input functions are a) touch screen, b) push-button device and output functions are a) visual display on the touch screen, b) letters and numbers display to Braille, and c) voice response. We are continuing to make experiment and improving the terminal.
