Abstract:
This paper describes introduction of SIG seating of Rehabilitation Engineering Society of Japan. The SIG seating is working since 1987 on the purpose to consider an assistive technology of seating for persons with disability, exchange information and spread it. They have lecture classes, SIG meeting, 9 volumes of texts, attendance to some research committee and meeting of organizing committee. The members include technician to produce seating systems, rehabilitation staff to adapt seating systems, teachers and the other to be interested in seating systems. All members are 160.
