Abstract:
In the Rehabilitation Engineering Society of Japan, RESJA, those who are interested in a certain field meet together and organize a specialized group called SIG, Special Interest Group. In this report, the author introduces the SIG of pressure sore prevention, that is, decubitus ulcer or bedsore prevention. It consists of four chapters: the introduction of the SIG,a newsletter from the SIG, the schedule of the SIG, and calls for members. In the first chapter, the author introduces the purpose of organizing the SIG and six concrete objectives to accomplish it. And she mentions the number of members and the executives of the SIG. In the second chapter,she reports on the symposium, celebrating the establishment of the SIG, and the titles and the abstracts of the lectures in it. In the third chapter,she announces that the SIG will hold institutes and meetings and publish periodical news letters and annual reports. And she also mentions that the SIG members have various occupations, such as, doctor, nurse, PT, helper, and researcher.
