Abstract:
In this paper, the development of a seating system designed to support the user's forward reclining position is reported. It can be used both as a child car seat and as a seating system to support the user's crossed legs sitting on the floor. It contains both plastic sponges and tip sponges inside and it is coated with paint on the surface. The best advantage of the seating system is that it has a slight slant in front, which allows the user to recline and bend forward. And so, it leads to the decrease spastic extensions and has the user to head up and control his upper limbs' flexion. Through these experiences, it proves to be useful as a child car seat and a seating system on tatami mats. Moreover, it allows the users to use seating postures for a long time and gets rid of the users' muscle tonuses.
