Abstract:
An investigation has been performed on the relation between the degree of cerebrovascular disease of patients and the contents of house remodeling guidance. The investigation was carried out on the cerebrovascular patients who participated in the house remodeling guidance in the reporter's hospital. Based on the record of occupational therapist, the patients were classified with their ability of transfer and that of ADL at the time of their restoration. For each class, contents of home remodeling guidance were analyzed. As the result, not wheelchair users but self-walkers and cared-walkers were frequently took advantage of house remodeling guidance. However, most patients remodeled porch, toilet, and bathroom. On the other hand, remodeling of passage, steps, and living room was found depending on ones ability of transfer and that of ADL.
