Abstract:
A mail questionnaire was conducted on persons with disability, whom remodeling guidance of living house had been done in our hospital. The questions were about remodeled part of the house and the daily life style of each patient. The answer was that bath room, toilet, and porch were the most frequently modified part, in this order. So far as ADL is concerned, the situation of most patients became better. In the remodeled toilet, one can do evacuation by himself/herself. On the other hand, assistive work in bath room and porch became easier. In the whole case, about 80% of remodeling was effectively used. Still remained parts in the house are handrail, step, and space.
