Abstract:
A pair of socks which has different pull-ring as the conventional one has been developed, and its effect on the put-on motion has been examined. Each side of new type socks has only one ring, and the ring was fixed along the mouth of each side of socks. On the other hand, each side of the conventional socks has two rings and each ring was fixed at a point. Therefore, in the case of conventional socks, pulling power is concentrated on a local point, and the socks were easily broken. However, in the case of new type socks, pulling power is dispersed. In addition, the design of the new type socks is superior to the old one. The new type socks were actually tested by a person with thoracic vertebrae impairment, and she (he) could smoothly put on the socks.
