Abstract:
In this center physical therapists has made aids for applying socks and adapted it to patients by themselves because commercialized aids for applying socks are not useful. It is based on a polypropylene type which is developed by Mr. OKADA and Mr. UEDA in 1995. Considering about size of foot, material and length of frequently used socks, and the way of putting on, they has adapted it to 29 patients ( osteoarthritis patients, spondylosis patients, rheumatoid arthritis patients, cerebral palsied patients, cerebrovascular disease diplegia patients, etc. ) in the center and has adjusted total size of aids for applying socks, the position and shape of hall and wing, size and shape of cutting part, and material and length of holding grip. It becomes clear that its shape and holding grip are required to adapt in the case of that range of articular motion is limited and movement of articulation of foot is not smooth.
