Abstract
We developed a system that measures torque by passive elbow joints' movement and evaluate its spasticity. We discussed operation about measuring device and compared clinical evaluation. We had 4 hemiplegic subjects (their spastic level was each normal, mild, moderate and severe) and measured their both elbow joints. Then we analyzed operation of uniform joint movements and clinical evaluation comparison. Results were the bigger hysteresis of degrees of angle, the bigger degree-torque plot became at diseased side. On the other hand, torque plot value was small that has nothing to do with degree of angle or speed of degree.
