NOTE: Disability was defined as having a non-severe or a severe disability involving difficulty or inability in performing funcational activities, activities of daily living, or instrumental activities, used a wheelchair, had used a cane or similar aid for six months or longer, or had a developmental disability or a mental or emotional disability. The 17 Activities may be found listed in a separate Table. Totals may be used to compute percentages (e.g., 411,000/(411,000 + 3,835,000) = 0.097 = 9.7% = the percent of teachers with a disability).
