2. What should be done in the future?

2.1 We expect that we need to have

・Tsunami hazard map: This map is very important for evacuation plan, the height of tsunami wave and arrival time at different parts of coast line are necessary to prepare tsunami hazard map (in progress).

・Tsunami simulation model in Indian Ocean: This should be adopted in order to predictand warning to people. Up to now we still don’t have the adequate data base of bathymetric and topography map.

2.2 International cooperation among IO countries

・The cooperation among countries around IO and experienced countries like Japan should be continue even 10 years later.

・Every countries should share the data concerned with tsunami warning in real time.

2.3 Training and Seminar in tsunami warning and management

・Most of IO countries lack of experience in this field, then training and seminar are necessary to obtain more knowledge and idea

2.4 Lack of expert equipment and budget

・Dispatch of experts from Japan or other countries both long termand short term

・Support of technology, equipment and software concerned to IO countries
