Establishment of the JDF Headquarters for the Comprehensive Support for Persons with Disabilities hit by the Tohoku-Kanto Great Earthquake

As of March 22, 2011

It was decided at the Meeting of JDF Executive Committee on March 18, Friday, 2011. The purpose is to support people with disabilities who are hit by the Tohoku-Kanto Earthquake through the collected efforts of DPOs in Japan.

1. Representatives
Executive Director of the JDF Headquarters : Representative of JDF Deputy Executive Director: Board of Representatives of JDF Member Organizations Secretary General : Executive Director, JDF Executive Board

2. Focal Point
The JDF HQs is located in Tokyo.
Tentative Local Support Center is located in Sendai City in Miyagi Prefecture.

3. Organizations
(1) General Affairs/ Public Relations
(2) Collection and Provision of Relevant Information
(3) Coordination of Organizations
(4) Finance

4. Activity
(1) Development of networking among each focal point of JDF members and activities including collection and provision of information
(2) Public relations with GOs, inside and outside relevant DPOs, NGOs and relevant agencies, mass media, receiving donation
(3) Necessary support activities
(4) Other necessary activities

JDF sent several members to Sendai city to set up the Local Support Center of the JDF HQs on March 22. The comprehensive website will be open for information exchange.
