JDF opened the Miyagi Support Center in Sendai city on March 30. 2011.
At the Opening Ceremony, attendants were around 50 from Welfare for Persons with Disabilities Department, Miyagi Prefectural Government and Sendai city, Support organizations, International NPO, JDF(Japan Disability Forum), and local mass media.
Progress of activity:
March 28 6 people went to Sendai for setting up of the local center
March 30 Opening Ceremony of the Miyagi Support Center
March 31 Start activity
In Miyagi Support Center, staff of organizations from different areas are dispatched to work in the center for around 10 days.

The activity has just begun. There are still many who need support.
