Closing Remarks

Ladies and Gentlemen,

We are grateful for you to atend this special event organized by Japan Disability Forum.
We are also very much thankful to Mr.Sumet Phonkacha of Thailand, Mr.Premadasa Dissanayake of Sri Lanka, Ms. Jocelyn Cevallos Garcia Philippines to share experiences of support activities at the time of disasters in each country.
We also appreciate Mr. Kiyoharu Shiraishi and Mr.Kazuhiko Abe from Japan for letting us know the efforts to support persons with disabilities after the East Japan Earthquake on March 11th last year.

Inchon Strategy is to be adopted at High-level Intergovernmental Meeting at ESCAP meeting and Goal 7 of Inchon Strategy is "Ensure disability-inclusive disaster risk reduction".
I hope this side evet contibutes to acheive goal 7 of Inchon Strategy.

I would like to express our deep apreciation to The Nippon Foundation, Embassy of Japan in Korea as well as ESCAP secretariat for active support for this side event.
