Started with the cooperation between Hitachiomiya City and Ibaraki University. Members: 19 town development organizations.
Town Development Network Festival is held annually; University students report on their activities.
The young and old alike hold workshops on gChallenges Facing Hitachiomiya City.h
Provides also an opportunity to talk directly to the mayor.
Hold meetings (Hitachiomiya City Town Development Network Meeting) bi-annually to exchange opinions on fields and approaches of respective town development organizations.
This activity can create horizontal ties aomong the organizations providing an opportunity to develop into new activities.
Invite the university students to be interested in the issue of ageing in Hitachiomiya City, and develop it into fieldwork.
