Recovery-oriented practice aim to provide environments that:

• Promote hope and self management
• Support people to make meaning of their situation
• Support greater self determination and self mastery
• Focus on process not on outcomes, goals or the destination

Practitioners will:

• Have hope and optimism about the human potential
• Work in partnership with people
• Self reflect on their own practice
• Promote learning and growth within themselves as well as the people they work with
