Current Strategies and Approaches :

• A Disability Rights Bill designed to give effect to the National Policy on Disability and to the UNCRPD is now in the pipeline.
• CBR programmes are initiated in Divisional Secretary areas with a team of 03 field officer consist of a Social Service Officer and two other field officers.
• At the National level, CBR unit of the Department of Social Service provides necessary support to district and divisional level.
• Established the 331 Divisional Self Help Groups and 25 District Self Help Groups and empowered them.
• Special Attention for Person with Development Disabilities of improvement their vocational and artist skills.
