ETwo key factors for effective inclusive development:
1. Empower persons with disabilities to advocate for their rights via SHGs set up. SHGs have developed advocacy skills, received small loans for livelihood activities, networked with local governments and participated in community activities.
CDMD also works with DPOs at the district level, and build the capacity of these DPOs to set up SHGs, rather than doing this directly.
CDMD also has partnership with the national DPO, which is important to increase sustainability and avoid duplication of efforts.
