Activities of Nowami in FY 2014

9:00am to 7:00pm, 7days a week)

・Management of shelters (lodging) (available for 40 persons at 7 locations)

(92 users, 74 self-reliant persons, 18 persons receiving public welfare assistance)

・Consultation for Japanese and foreign residents (231 cases in total: 29 cases by foreign residents, 136 cases for employment support)

・Food aid (219 cases, provision of 14,600 meals in a year)

・Employment support (10:00am-7:00pm, 7days a week)(89 cases)

・Soup kitchen (from 5:00pm on the first and third Saturdays of the month from April through January) Participated in by a total of about 1000 persons.

・Survey on the homeless（identified 38 homeless persons in August, and 8 at year-end)

・Kyusei-no-kai (study group of service users) is held: 12:00pm-3:00pm on the first and third Sundays every month. Meals and study sessions: participated in by about 960 persons in total.

・Food Bank activities (10:00am-7:00pm, 7days a week) (890 cases)

・Alcoholics Anonymous (AA)(from 7:00pm on the second and fourth Mondays every month. Participated in by a total of 360 persons)

・Health Check ups and medical consultation services by doctors (1:00pm-3:00 every week. Total of 96 persons received the service.)
