Parents Group of Children with Hearing Impairment

• Capacity building of parents is one of the major focus areas of our work. They have become a resource for their own community and helping parents of other CWDs through transferring their skills.
• SANCHAR facilitated the formation and strengthening of SAMADHAN parents group which at present functions in 2 blocks of South 24 Parganas district of West Bengal, India.
• Our experience of working with SAMADHAN in a small pocket of West Bengal has guided us to facilitate parents movement in four states of India which has strengthened this movement at national level and influenced national level Govt. Departments and Institutes.
