Intervention:

To remove the infrastructural barrier, SANCHAR and Safia’s family jointly decided that –

• She will use a bed-pan for toileting for the time being and an application will be submitted to Panchayat for construction of an accessible toilet at her house through �gNirmal Bharat Yojona�h (The Sanitation Scheme).
• One of Safia’s brothers is a mason. He will construct the bathing place.
• Neighbours and the members of Disability Rights Group will help in the construction.
• SANCHAR will organize the materials.
• Sister-in-laws will fetch water from pond for bathing

SANCHAR has organized the Bed-pan, mobilized the cement and sand from a local builder at free of cost and purchased the bricks.
