Initial findings of Assessment

Observations from assessment teams:

・Government prioritizing vulnerable groups including persons with disabilities (despite situation reports not mentioning disability)
・Great need of assistive and mobility devices and hygiene packs
・Many persons with disabilities depended on families and neighbors for survival
・In some areas 100% interviewed responded that their plantations were damaged or destroyed
・Accessibility remains a big challenge for persons with disabilities
・Income-generating initiatives (e.g. mat weaving) for women with disabilities in rural settings have been destroyed and there is a great need for replacement of livelihood tools
