1.1 Textbooks for students with print disabilities

Students with print disabilities need to have textbooks that meet their individual requirements such as size and type of fonts, line space, color contrast and reading aloud with appropriate speed and text high lighting.

In some countries, the government set out a standard or guidelines for alternative textbooks including multimedia based on DAISY standards.

Adding alternative text description for graphics and adding graphical description for text contents may help comprehension of students.
