Current Positive Trends

• DPOs less concerned about CBR, & now advocating and working collaboratively with CBR programs, even doing CBR.
• DPOs are stronger, and advocating for services.
• Many countries have increasing human and financial capacity.
• Empowerment of people with disabilities understood but not yet fully achieved. “How we deliver as important as what”.
• Some CBR programs increasingly reach beyond vision and mobility impairments, some are even integrating other marginalised groups, e.g. older people.
