Conclusion

Through our CBR Action Plan, we have committed ourselves to the goal of achieving comprehensive CBR services in the Pacific at national and regional level.

We see CBR as …

• a strategy that can be used to disseminate and implement the CRPD
• a comprehensive approach to community-based inclusive development strategy
• a dynamic, progressive and evolving strategy that can be tailored to the Pacific context
• a strategy in which persons with disabilities play a central role, define their own needs and become empowered
• a strategy that can respect the Pacific culture and build strong equitable communities
