5 Principles of Nowami’s Activities
1. Mainly conducted by the “Kyusei-no-kai” (study group)

5. Must be sustained by networks at all levels

Management Guidelines for Nowami’s Shelters
1. The appropriate support should be given to each resident
2. Support should respect human rights and the self-help efforts of residents
3. Create a system that rewards residents’ efforts
4. Have a self-help group in which they can share problems and help one another
5. Reduce the financial burden of residents
6. Enhance the level of supporters in the management of the shelters, thus contributing better to public welfare
