New strategies - legislation amendment

Legislation for Digital Library Service

Amendment in “Library Law” serving as a legal foundation for online data collection (March 2009)
- Expansion of library materials from offline to online contents
- NLK is empowered to collect online materials.
- Legal deposit of digital file is stipulated for the production and distribution of alternative materials for the disabled.
New provisions of “Copyright Law” about the coping right for the online material collection (March 2009)
- Making copy of online materials for preservation is allowed
- Transmission of full-text database among libraries is allowed when copyright fee payment is made
