On March 18th, 2021, MHLW published its "Report of the Study Group on the Establishment of a Community-based Integrated Care System which also Supports Persons with Mental Illness – Aiming to Realize an Inclusive Community where Everyone can Live in their Own Ways with Peace of Mind”. The study group was set up on March 18th, 2020, in response to a suggestion by the “Study Group on the Future of Mental Health, Medical Care, and Welfare” that further promotion of multi-layered cooperation is necessary to construct a Community-based Integrated Care System. The report was compiled after 9 meetings, and its table of contents is as follows.
