[MLIT] A Study Committee Held To Promote ICT-based Pedestrian Mobility Assistance

On April 25, 2022, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT) held the first Study Committee to Promote ICT-based Pedestrian Mobility Assistance in FY2022.

The MLIT continuously works on ICT-based pedestrian mobility assistance under the Study Committee, which discusses all matters of support.  Specifically, based on the results of the Study Group Meetings on ICT-based Pedestrian Mobility Assistance held from FY2010-2013 and the Field Project on Pedestrian Mobility Assistance for a Universal Society conducted from FY2011-2013, the Study Committee Meetings continue to be held annually since FY2014.

In this fiscal year, continuing from the previous year, the Study Committee plans to promote the conversion of existing data into open data and its utilization, as well as initiatives aimed at expanding awareness to enhance barrier-free information.

At the FY2022's first meeting of the Study Committee, the MLIT reported the following agenda on the project's current status and the Committee’s confirmed plans of action.
