The G7 Kurashiki Labor and Employment Ministerial Meeting was held in Kurashiki, Okayama Prefecture from April 22 to 23, 2023.

At this meeting, "Investing in Human Capital " was on the agenda, and the following was discussed:

1. Foster the resilience of the labor market:
1.1 Labor market policies for the post-COVID-19 era and current issues
1.2 Digital and green transformation and investment in human capital
2. Developing an inclusive labor market
3. Enhancing work engagement and promoting decent work

The Ministerial Declaration was compiled on 23 April.
The declaration features all persons with disabilities, particularly in "II. Developing an inclusive labor market," with a section entitled '16. Advancing disability inclusion', which states as follows:
"We will work to ensure that persons with disabilities are provided with adequate support in order to participate fully in the labor market, which is also important as a vehicle for their social inclusion and independence. We also emphasize the need to work more to improve their employment quality to achieve meaningful engagement and participation. We believe that persons with severe disabilities, who may have faced significant barriers to employment, are now able to have more and more opportunities to play an active role in the labor market through the use of flexible working styles such as teleworking, robotics, and AI, and coordination between employment and welfare policy. We will continue to promote efforts towards a labor market and work environment that is more open, inclusive, and accessible to persons with disabilities in line with the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. We also welcome the OECD's new report, "Disability, Work, and Inclusion: Mainstreaming in All Policies and Practices."
