[MXIT] Publication of Results of the Survey on the State of Formation and Implementation of the Curriculums in Public Elementary and Lower Secondary Schools

On 21 April 2023, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) published the results of the "FY2022 Survey on the Formation and Implementation of the Curriculum in Public Elementary and Lower Secondary Schools." The previous survey was conducted in 2018.

The survey items are as follows:

1. Number of class hours [FY2021 results]
2. Number of class hours, class days, credit hours [FY2022 plan]
3. Status of implementation of the Period of Integrated Study [FY2022 plan]
4. Status of implementation of programming lessons (Elementary schools only) [FY2022 plan]
5. Status of implementation of personalized guidance [FY2022 plan]
6. Status of implementation of a system where students are taught by different subject specialists (Elementary schools only) [FY2022 plan]
7. Status of utilization of non-teaching personnel [2022 Plan]
8. Status of semester division [FY2022 plan]
9. Status of implementation of Saturday classes [FY2022 plan]
10. Status of exchanges and joint learning between students with disabilities and students without disabilities [FY2021 results]

The following is a partial introduction to "10. Status of exchanges and joint learning between children and students with disabilities and children and students without disabilities". The figures in parentheses are the previous survey's results:

*The school exchanges in the community allows children with disabilities to interact with students of mainstream schools in the community they live in, thus quickly broadening the scope of their activities into community activities.
