Dear All:

After a long struggle, finally Thai delegation proposed an amendment of para 22 as follows and accepted:

22. (20) The sharing and strengthening of global knowledge for development can be enhanced by removing barriers to equitable access to information for economic, social, political, health, cultural, educational, and scientific activities and by facilitating access to public domain information [, including by the use of Universal Design and assistive technologies].

Obviously several country including South Africa and Japan were about to follow but the Chair did not see any objections, it was adopted.
